The Parojinogs conquered Ozamiz City for many years despite of the rumors that they were one of the biggest suppliers of illegal drugs in Mindanao.

The death of Mayor Parojinog and other officials shocked the people of Ozamiz City. Some were worried that the death of the most powerful politician in Ozamiz might be a start of a bigger war.
